Photos From Rehearsal!

Whoops! Only photos from outside… no pictures allowed in the synagogue. No really, there were people watching you to make sure you didn’t.

The music was unbelievable, and to hear 400 voices singing together was insane.

We’re going deeper underground …

Yes, that’s a great song by Jamiroquai, but I was actually referring to the subway.

Brunch at Craftbar

In the heart of the Flatiron district lies Tom Colicchio’s Craftbar, an offshoot of his world-renowned Craft restaurant. We stopped in for brunch, and Top Chef quality it certainly was. We started with an order of brioche donut holes, which were served warm with rhubarb compote and bittersweet chocolate. Steve ordered simple, choosing 2 farm eggs over medium, which were served with chorizo, fingerling potatoes, and braised cippolini onions. I opted for shrimp and grits, which was top-notch. The grits were creamy, the shrimp were tender, and the plentiful andouille sausage and perfectly poached egg sealed the deal. All in all, a delicious and well-executed meal.

The 5th Ave Apple Store

Nerdfest!

(Steve wrote that… don’t let him fool you. We were both like kids in a candy store from the moment we set foot in that place.)

An awesome place to eat… so much history, and ridiculously good food. Whoever said you can’t get too much of a good thing has obviously never eaten here. Is it possible for a person to slip into a corned-beef-and-pastrami-induced coma?
